New cable designs using Russian fiber for TEA NEXT project have been tested at Incab’s Test Centre. (more…) Incab employees were trained in lean manufacturing tools at the Process Factory. The program was organized within the framework of a joint project of the Regional Engineering Center and the Perm Campus of the National Research University Higher School of Economics. During the training the participants learned the most effective methods of work organization – from production stages to logistics and warehouse organization. Evgeny Suyatin, Head of the Plant’s Process Improvement Department, said that many of the tools learned at the Factory are already being applied in production. Since 2019, Incab has been independently implementing projects to improve labor productivity. For example, the 5S system is a workplace organization system used to achieve quality, safety and productivity goals. As a result, the company was able to optimize the process of quick changeover, to spread this method to all production sites – divisions. Let’s implement lean manufacturing!

In the realm of promoting geophysical cables and sensor cables for the oil and gas industry, we experienced an exceptionally warm and productive month of May.

The Institute of Oil and Gas Technology Initiatives (INTI), in collaboration with the Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC), recently hosted a technical conference known as INTI.TECH.DAY in Abu Dhabi which was attended by our plant representatives. The conference aimed at exploring international standardization and the potential of unifying oil standards, thereby boosting the technical independence and competitiveness of the Russian oil and gas industry products in the global market.

During the two-day conference, the Head of Technical Competence department, Valery Babarykin, gave a presentation on SlickLight – a small-sized sensor cable ideal for digital well-logging operations and a perfect alternative to traditional logging cables. In addition, Konstantin Kaigorodov, the Head of Export Sales of Specialty cables, held a series of meetings with target clients in the oil and gas industry. This was a great opportunity to network and explore valuable business partnership opportunities.

Subsequently, towards the end of May, the Incab team participated in the multi-industry business mission known as Made in Russia + Innoprom in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This event was a premier business mission that saw the flagship project of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation – the primary industrial exhibition in Russia – going beyond the boundaries of the Eurasian Economic Union. Over 100 Russian companies took part in the event, which attracted many visitors.

Incab showcased its latest line of specialty cables, which drew considerable interest from the Saudi Arabian partners. This niche product line combines the functionality of optical cables with distributed monitoring and power supply functions for equipment used in the oil and gas industry. Incab has the necessary expertise, technology, and capacity to meet the diverse and complex requirements of its clients.
