On July 19-23 teachers of VOLS.Expert Center for Technical Competences ran a 5-day training seminar, called “The Technologies for Construction, Installation and Measurement of the Cable Infrastructure for Optical Communication Systems”.
The seminar was held in Perm for the specialists of the Urals Subsidiary of Rostelecom PJSC and was attended by the participants from Perm, Yekaterinburg, Kurgan, Tyumen, Chelyabinsk Regions and Khanty-Mansi Autonomous District.
VOLS.Expert training seminars are characterized by focus on practical skills of working with optical communication system components. The first two days were devoted to theoretical information about optical fiber, Incab cables, splice closures and other accessories, installation and measurement tools. In addition, all participants of the training visited the production facilities of Incab. For the next three days they performed practical tasks, such as optical cable stripping, splice closure installation and measuring the parameters of the optical communication systems using reflectometers.
The participant highly appreciated the volume and the quality of the knowledge they obtained and expressed a wish to have similar seminars in other subsidiaries of Rostelecom PJSC.
